President Obama’s Speech Yesterday

Obama speaks S&P

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania – August 9 –

I was listening to Rush Limbaugh yesterday, when President Obama was supposed to speak. The speech was delayed, delayed, and then delayed some more for about an hour., I don’t listen to the President’s speeches, because they are loud, irritating, and stressful. So, I tried to find a transcript of the speech. The transcript wasn’t readily available either. If you want to read the transcript, it is here. The image above is also there.

Now, let’s analyze some of the speech:

And the good news here is that by coming together to deal with the long-term debt challenge, we would have more room to implement key proposals that can get the economy to grow faster. Specifically, we should extend the payroll tax cut as soon as possible, so that workers have more money in their paychecks next year and businesses have more customers next year.

This seems to be a departure from “tax and spend”. How does it jibe with “take away tax reductions for the rich”? It doesn’t. It is advocacy for tax reduction. It is Reagan like. The problem is we have a whole administration advocating taxing and spending, and this tiny idea will be drowned by the EPA’s appetite for controlling emissions, raising prices of gasoline, food, shelter, and transportation. It will be drowned by the NLRB’s actions in trying to prevent Boeing ‘s efforts to operate a plant in South Carolina. Obamacare is government control of health care. To put the whole thing in a nutshell; Marxism is opposing Capitalism via the current administration. An itsy bitsy, teenie weenie, tax reduction cannot survive in a sea of government control.
