Convention of States

A convention of states can propose amendments to the United States Constitution. A convention of states was on the verge of proposing an amendment to change from appointing senators, to, voting for senators. Congress feared a convention of states.

The Mount Vernon Assembly is currently in the process of creating a convention of states. It has already met once, they will meet again May 1, 2014, and they plan to meet again in December 2014  http://le.utah.gov/publicweb/_rcantrell/PublicWeb/13179/13179.html
