Filibuster | An Antiquated Idea | Strom Thurmond
Attention: John Boehner, Mitch McConnell, Roy Blunt, Pat Toomey, Bob Casey, and Keith Rothfus
Mitch McConnell, the filibuster is an antiquated idea, which should be discarded.
Strom Thurmond filibustered the civil rights laws. The civil rights laws passed. His filibuster was an exercise in futility.

When government engages in acts of futility, like filibusters, it becomes citizens' duty to take away government's right to govern.
