Corn Cobs
I was born and raised on a farm. I’m fond of simple things like corn cobs. I found these corn cobs at a farmer’s market near Pittsburgh. The grain elevator near where I lived, when I was young, was powered by a steam engine. The furnace to make the steam used corn cobs.

Pittsburgh Mills
Pittsburgh Mills is one of the shopping malls in our area. I took a shot one day, when we went to Olive Garden to eat. The camera that I use has a LCD and no view finder, so it is difficult to see outside in bright light. I drape a sweater or something over my head to make the LCD more visible.

Farm Market
This corn field is behind a farm market, which sells primarily meat. The same people, who own the market, own the corn field behind it. There’s a cow pasture adjacent to the corn field, but the cows weren’t out. They have their own animals butchered, and sell the meat themselves.

Extraterrestial|Transparency

extraterrestial

It has been my good fortune to connect with Extraterrestial. I suggest that you go to his Newsvine column for more information. Extraterrestial is omnicient and omnipotent. He has difficulty typing because he has eight fingers, all of which are connected by webs. You know, like webs on a ducks foot.

In the normal course of events, Extraterrestial made a comment on one of my articles. I knew in an instant that this was an epiphany!

    Extraterrestrial

Hell! that sounds even better!!! "Obama Keeps His Word On Transparency! We See Right Through Him!" (something like that maybe?) :-]

OR....."Get the transparency out of the W.H. and back in the government!"

"Obama Keeps His Word On Transparency! We See Right Through Him!"

This is an excellent slogan for the 2012 presidential campaign. Please use it wherever possible, and as often as possible.

We are Waiting for Our Son

airbus 380

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania – September 4 –

Our son is coming to Pittsburgh to visit for the week of the Labor Day holiday.

Myself, my wife, and our son lived in the same house in Scottsdale, Arizona for about 5 years. He still lives there, and plans to stay there indefinitely.

He was scheduled to switch planes in Chicago. It wasn’t a straight through flight. He was supposed to arrive in Pittsburgh about 7 PM Eastern tonight. He called from the Phoenix airport, before he left this morning. We haven’t heard anything from him since. Hopefully, I’ll be able to report that all is well in this article.

I have really missed him. He’s a geek among other things, he’s single, and is about 53 years old. He likes beer, and I think the plans are to attend some sort of beer festival, while he’s here. I’m a tea totaler, and my wife is as well.

We left Scottsdale in March of this year, and we haven’t seen him since then. I told him that I can’t wait to see him again, when we were on the phone the other day.

Our son arrived at my daughter’s house in Pittsburgh about 10 PM Eastern.

Wolfman Report: Socialism; a loser?

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania – June 28 –
I have been writing about Greece’s economic problems. They have a socialist government. Here’s an analysis of some of their problems:
From Wikipedia
The government of Greece agreed to impose a fourth and final round of austerity measures. These include:[60]
  • Public sector limit of €1,000 introduced to bi-annual bonus, abolished entirely for those earning over €3,000 a month.
  • An 8% cut on public sector allowances and a 3% pay cut for DEKO (public sector utilities) employees.
  • Limit of €800 per month to 13th and 14th month pension installments; abolished for pensioners receiving over €2,500 a month.
  • Return of a special tax on high pensions.
  • Changes were planned to the laws governing lay-offs and overtime pay.
  • Extraordinary taxes imposed on company profits.
  • Increases in VAT to 23%, 11% and 5.5%.
  • 10% rise in luxury taxes and taxes on alcohol, cigarettes, and fuel.
  • Equalization of men's and women's pension age limits.
  • General pension age has not changed, but a mechanism has been introduced to scale them to life expectancy changes.
  • A financial stability fund has been created.
  • Average retirement age for public sector workers has increased from 61 to 65.[61]
  • Public-owned companies to be reduced from 6,000 to 2,000.[61]
On 5 May 2010, a nationwide general strike was held in Athens to protest to the planned spending cuts and tax increases. Three people were killed, dozens injured, and 107 arrested.[62]
The vote on more austerity measures is supposed to take place Wednesday and Thursday. Newsvine member usa1 supplied the following links:
Comparable to kids in a candy store

The situation in Greece could be duplicated in the United States of America.
If it does, austerity will take place.

Wolfman Report: Supreme Court Doubts Global Warming Cause

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania – June 25 –
The United States Supreme Court has dealt a blow to global warming. It happened a few days ago. There’s a link below. It is the top link.
The plaintiffs wanted emission controls. They wanted to impose controls on American Electrical power. They lost big time; 8-0.
I read the whole decision, and it sounded like the EPA was on firm ground. If carbon dioxide is not the cause of global warming, the EPA’s efforts to control it comes into question.
President Obama’s skyrocketing electricity prices, food prices, and prices in general, also appear to be foolhardy. Failure to drill becomes a mistake, and use of coal, natural gas, and fossil fuels does not cause global warming.
Of course it could be argued that we don’t want to deplete resources. Then, that argument would stop us from depleting copper, iron, aluminum, et cetera.

Wolfman Report: Dress Yourself in Moral Garments

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania – June 15, 2011 –
Pelosi has been in the US News recently. She didn’t throw Weiner under the bus [1] immediately. On June 10, she didn’t call for Weiner’s resignation. Pelosi called for the resignation of Weiner later,[2] which was ref

erred to in an article on June 15, 2011.
[1] June 10, 2011–
Amid increasing calls for Rep. Anthony Weiner to resign, House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi says the decision should be up to the congressman and his New York constituents.
[2] June 15, 2011–
Pelosi said she concluded that "with the love of his family, the confidence of his constituents and the need for help ... Congressman Weiner should resign from the Congress."
I’m reporting this to show; Pelosi does have “some” principles. She’s against “weiners”.
2000 page bills are OK, passing bills without votes; deeming them passed is OK, passing bills to find out what’s in them is OK, but she draws the line when it comes to “weiners”.
As Alinsky says, if you don’t have much to go on, go with what you have. Dress yourself in moral garments.

The Evil Empire

Evil empire

Ronald Reagan invented this term. He used it in a speech in 1983. The evil empire collapsed in 1989.
The website:
American Rhetoric
Top 100 Speeches
Why do I bring this up? Well, it illustrates the contrast between our current president and Ronald Reagan.
Reagan displayed a commitment  to Godliness and faith, not only by himself, but by the United States. Recently our current president announced that he was quitting Reverend Jeremiah Wright’s church. Our current president spent 20 years listening to Reverend Wright, who embarrassingly said loudly “GD America”.
“The white folks’ greed runs a world in need”
Sounds ... controversial! Keep in mind: a) Obama isn't disapproving of this sermon. In the book he weeps at the end of it; b) Demonstrating that at least some blaming of "white greed" for the world's sins--which Obama now criticizes-- isn't an exceptional topic for Rev. Wright in a few wacky sermons ("the five dumbest things") that Obama may or may not have missed. It's at the quotidian core of the Afrocentric philosophy that Obama says drew him to the church; c) Indeed, in his big March 18th race speech Obama reads the passage from his book that describes his emotional reaction to this very sermon (his "first service at Trinity")--how it made "the story of a people" seem "black and more than black." d) This is also the sermon that gave Obama the title of his next book, The Audacity of Hope. e) The "profound mistake" of this sermon is not that Wright "spoke as if our society was static"--Obama's analysis on Feb. 18th. The problem is that "white folks' greed" is not the main cause of a "world in need." I'm not saying voters shouldn't cut Obama a lot of slack on Wright's anti-white fulminations. But the Senator should have spoken up publicly against the semi-paranoid "white greed" explanation a long time ago, no? And he could show a little humility. Again, this wasn't the occasion for him to be lecturing everyone else. ...
In Obama’s own book, “He weeps at the end of it”, I can’t imagine what Reagan would say, if he was alive.

Wolfman Report: Put Wealth Redistribution in Charge?

did I do that

I hear and see criticism of capitalism, conservatives, and Christians. They are not Utopia, but they served the United States well until January 20, 2009.
We’ve had a taste of wealth redistribution. Now, a decision will be made. Either the United States will go down the path that Greece and others went, or down the path that Australia and others are going.
At least many United States citizens realize that we are on the wrong path, now.
chouchou made the following remark:
“Austerity is inevitable.”
Greece is cutting back, and austerity is being imposed whether the citizens want it or not.
California is cutting back whether the citizens like it or not.
New Jersey and others are cutting back.
Many United States citizens think they will get what they want…forever.
When and if the United States currency collapses, United States citizens will experience inevitable austerity.
Entitlements such as Medicare, and Social Security will disappear. Voting for the wrong politicians will have nothing to do with it. Collapse of the currency will have a lot to do with it.
A look at the world over time:
The Weimar Republic printed money. The currency collapsed. The people cut back, they had no choice.
Zimbabwe’s currency collapsed. The people suffered. They had no choice.
Rome burned.

Wolfman Report: A New Kind of Tsunami

Greek protests11369976_aed7ea72bd

An economic tsunami is threatening the United States.
We have borrowed money, but now our credit rating is in danger. The time may come where borrowing will not solve our problems.
We have printed money, and may print more. There is a limit though, as has been proved in other nations that printed money irresponsibly.
Then there is “tax the rich”. There is a limit to that too. I get the impression that some believe that “tax the rich” is a magical solution to money problems. I would like to point out that Greece has run out of money. Are they “taxing the rich”?  Answer: no.  In fact the taxes on smaller incomes are increasing in Greece; how can that be?
Greeks on modest salaries are furious that they have to pay ever higher taxes in the drive to reduce a towering budget deficit, while they believe the self-employed such as doctors and lawyers are guilty of flagrant tax evasion. Greece

If I was a "rich" person in Greece, I would leave. Also, if Greece "took" all the money from the "rich", it would not be enough to solve their debt problem, and they know it.
  • So borrowing is limited
  • Printing money is limited
  • Taxing the rich is limited
When the limits of all three are reached, the tsunami hits. No more social security checks, no more Medicare, Medicaid, or food stamps. No military.
None of these:
Federal Department of Education, Department of Energy, Small Business Administration, Securities & Exchange Commission, Peace Corps, Office of Personnel Management, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Consumer Product Safety Commission, Drug Enforcement Administration, Environmental Protection Agency, Federal Aviation Administration, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Federal Communications Commission, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Federal Election Commission, Federal Emergency Management Agency, National Aeronautics & Space Administration, National Endowment for the Arts, National Endowment for the Humanities, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration,National Security Agency, Voice of America, and last but not least; The Social Security Administration,Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, HUD, FHA, VA.
Several million government employees would be out of work.
As the government struggles to prevent Greece from defaulting on its debt, the Socialist cabinet will discuss informally on Monday the medium-term economic plan which will impose 6.4 billion euros ($9.37 billion) of extra austerity this year alone. Greece

Wolfman Report: Do You Want to Know What Happened at the GOP-Obama Meeting? I Do Too!

image
Carney tells you what Obama wants you to hear

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania – June 1, 2011 –
I intended to find articles about what happened at the GOP-Obama meeting June 1, 2011.
I found out that the press had been barred from the meeting. I did read about one of the Republicans, who took pictures and reported while the meeting was taking place.
I remember previous GOP-Obama meetings which were videotaped and published.
I thought this country was the land of the free and free speech. Isn’t denying the press access to meetings, like the most recent GOP-Obama meeting, a denial of free speech and freedom of the press? I was under the impression that Obama was going to put many government activities on C-Span. I know he promised to be open and transparent. Does Obama’s words measure up to his actions? The answer is glaringly no.
Secrecy is one of Obama’s characteristics. I don’t admire that characteristic. I don’t need to recite all the secrets, which Obama hides. His record of keeping secrets is well known.
Does “I won” give Obama the right to withhold information such as the GOP-Obama meeting June 1, 2011?
Obama is a sneaky Ayers, Wright, Van Jones, Marxist.
Don’t get me wrong; if Obama continues his behavior,  he will lose more and more votes. That is what I would like to see happen.

Spending has put the USA in Crisis Mode

"THE TRANSFORMER"

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania – May 27, 2011 –
Here’s another perspective on US Federal Government spending.
I was born in 1930. We did not have Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. We did have poor houses, and I believe they called it public assistance. Those in need could get a bag of edible food from the local government. Those who accepted public assistance were looked down upon.
There was no Federal Department of Education, Department of Energy, Small Business Administration, Securities & Exchange Commission, Peace Corps, Office of Personnel Management, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Consumer Product Safety Commission, Drug Enforcement Administration, Environmental Protection Agency, Federal Aviation Administration, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Federal Communications Commission, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Federal Election Commission, Federal Emergency Management Agency, National Aeronautics & Space Administration, National Endowment for the Arts, National Endowment for the Humanities,  National Highway Traffic Safety Administration,National Security Agency, Voice of America, and last but not least; The Social Security Administration.
So, I have lived through the time when public spending has skyrocketed and personal freedom has been diminished.
Who is to blame for all this spending? It’s not Republicans and Democrats; it’s the voters who voted them in. It’s the “takers” who vote for politicians who say that they will give them something, and the country is on the edge of a cliff as a result. Politicians have convinced the majority of the voters that we need every dime of spending on everything mentioned above, and that anyone who tries to cut anything will be voted out. There was an election in New York recently. The winner supported spending. The voters supported spending in that particular case.
“Obama found himself on the wrong side of public opinion with the policies he put in place after his election in 2008. The public wasn’t ready for the amount of spending he pushed through to deal with the recession.” Washington Post
The country as we know it may fold. The final result may be ugly.
I love this country; not as it is, but as it once was.

Wolfman Report: Lessons From Wisconsin

wisconsin

Wisconsin Legislators Leave State to Prevent Vote
One of the behaviors in this event has been for the Democrat legislators to leave the state.
There are a number of things that could be done about it. More legislation could take place. New rules could be made in the legislature. The Democrats could and should be voted out of office. I’m suggesting the last remedy.
We have a democratic republic. The behavior of leaving the state or country should not be tolerated. Suppose that the Democrats in the House would leave the country as the budget cuts are being debated by the Republicans in the House. I call this, practice of leaving, hijacking the democratic republic type of government. I’m not suggesting that individual legislators be voted out, I’m suggesting that the Democrat party be voted out, as they have been in Wisconsin. The Wisconsin assembly is majority Republican, the Wisconsin Senate is majority Republican, and the governor is a Republican. The Republicans should be allowed to stop the behavior of obstructing lawmaking by Democrats leaving the state. If enough Democrats are voted out, super majorities can prevail. This is where the Republicans are at a disadvantage in Wisconsin. If they only had one more Republican in the Senate, they would have the necessary numbers for a quorum.

The Next Election is Vital
In the case of Wisconsin, the Democrats have been voted out, but not enough of them have been voted out. If the percentage of Democrats can be lowered enough, their behavior will have consequences.
In the case of the Federal government, our goal should be a Republican president, and 2/3 thirds majorities in Congress. If Democrats continue disapproved  behavior, it will be possible.

Food Prices-Carbon Emissions

Food prices screen shot

Scottsdale Arizona – February 2, 2011 –
Carbon Emission Control Equals Increased Prices
The food prices in the United States have already gone up.
Part of the reason for the rioting in Egypt is increased food prices.
There's a link to the screen shot under the screen shot. The results show
that Japan and Russia oppose "Kyoto Protocol".
The world is wising up to the program instituted by the United Nations and supported by Obama and Soros.
The United Nations, Soros, Al Gore, and many others profit at the expense of ordinary people. They are parasites on society. They suck up wealth while people riot.
Developed nations abandon Kyoto Protocol
“Climate Change experts believe the main problem is the inability of the US Administration to make a meaningful commitment to cut its country’s emissions to an adequate extent because it is now clear that congress will not adopt a comprehensive climate bill.” “ Worse Russia and Japan have openly stated they do not want to continue with the Kyoto Protocol while Australia, New Zealand and Canada among others have also be reluctant to commit to Kyoto’s second period because the US is not in it and major developing countries do not have to join the binding disciplines. This leaves the European Union which says it prefers to shift to a new system too but is still open to remaining in Kyoto if others do. Only Norway has said firmly it agrees to the second Kyoto period.”
So, Obama is using the EPA to control emissions in Texas. The world is against Kyoto Protocol. Congress is against Kyoto Protocol. Obama is for carbon emission control at any cost. A big question is; why?
Obama has been connected to CCX for years. CCX is the Chicago Climate Exchange.

Obama: Leftist-Marxist

Founders Some rights reserved by wstera2

There are several articles recently posted, which say Obama is a Leftist or a Marxist, now. There are articles, which show Obama participating in a rally for a Marxist five years ago.
Time magazine has published an article, which concludes that Obama is a Leftist now.
Another article enhances the Time article. It says Obama is a Marxist.
Here’s an excerpt from American Thinker:
"Update: Ed Lasky pints out that in 2008 Obama was photographed conspicuously holding Fareed Zakaria's "The Post-American World," and these days he is photographed holding a book about Reagan. How times (and political needs) change. Ed writes:
He believed in American declinism-and encouraged it.
But then his own job was at stake -so he tried to morph into the image of Reagan-the apostle of American exceptionalism (the shining city on a hill) and greatness.
Will Americans buy the rebranded Obama?"
Obama has shown a long term commitment to Marxism. A long term trait is likely to remain. Obama is not above trying to deceive. Deception may improve Obama’s poll numbers, but it is still deception.

Promises, Promises; Phony

2960312921_a174769e62

Some rights reserved by genetew

Promises

Obama has made a lot of promises. One of his promises was that he would go through bills line by line. The idea was that he would remove or veto earmarks. He didn’t deliver on that promise. Now he makes a similar promise in his State of the Union address. This time he said he would veto earmarks. People who do not keep their promises, are phony.

Harry Reid has said that Obama should back off his “veto earmarks” remark. We’ll be watching to see how many earmarks Obama vetoes.

Income redistribution

Obama has not rejected income redistribution. He reaffirmed his goal of taxing the rich. He agreed to the compromise of not taxing the rich. Now he wants to renege on his promise.

Obama showed his true colors in Kenya, when he supported Odinga. He supported an unsavory politician, and we have pictures of him doing it.

NASA

From Obama's speech:

“Half a century ago, when the Soviets beat us into space with the launch of a satellite called Sputnik, we had no idea how we would beat them to the moon. The science wasn't even there yet. NASA didn't exist. But after investing in better research and education, we didn't just surpass the Soviets; we unleashed a wave of innovation that created new industries and millions of new jobs.”

So, what has Obama done to NASA?

Construction

From Obama’s speech:

“So over the last two years, we've begun rebuilding for the 21st century, a project that has meant thousands of good jobs for the hard-hit construction industry. And tonight, I'm proposing that we redouble those efforts.”

Obama supported ACORN  for over a decade. ACORN supported risky mortgages. The housing industry was destroyed. Obama was involved in it’s destruction.

Constitution

From the speech:

"We may have differences in policy, but we all believe in the rights enshrined in our Constitution."

These are only words. Watch how Obama acts. Did Obama take a swipe at the Supreme Court in the last address to Congress?

Conclusion

I have covered only a few things here. Obama's words do not match his actions.

Together We Thrive; "Fairly we share, together we prosper"

Odinga950737328_45bc11eedf

AttributionSome rights reserved by DEMOSH

Obama is close to Odinga

"Together We Thrive" echoes Kenyan Odinga's slogan: "Fairly we share, together we prosper"

Together We Thrive; Obama.

Fairly we share, together we prosper; Odinga.

Who’s “together”? Early on Obama hitched his wagon to ACORN. Their combined efforts succeeded in getting risky mortgages for the “poor”. There was irrational exuberance among ACORN and Obama supporters. But, then came the “crash”.  Foreclosures came, and continue to this day. Are the “togetherers” still irrationally exuberant?

Obama supporters talked of “free rent” and “free gas” from Obama’s stash. That was only talk, it didn’t and hasn’t  happened. Do you remember Henrietta Hughes? She wanted freebies, but she was exposed. Do you remember the Detroit fiasco? People were in line to apply for $3000 of freebies. A few got freebies, but more of them didn’t. 3500 out of 65,000 got freebies. These people were all “together”. What has happened to their “togetherness”? Did they “thrive”, are they “ thriving” now? What happened to the irrational exuberance?

Does “together” include Reverend Wright, Bill Ayers, SEIU, Odinga, Van Jones, Louis Farrakhan, George Soros and all his “groups”, Jeff Immelt, moveon.org, media matters, the daily Kos, New York Times, and the Washington Post? Were the students in Tucson exuberant? Why? Were they exuberant about people being shot, or were they exuberant about getting a “free T shirt”? Were they whipped into exuberance by a cunning orator and his conniving minions?

Does “together” exclude Washington, Jefferson, Franklin, and Lincoln" or include just Odinga types?

I respectfully submit that the “togetherers” have not thrived under the Obama administration, and they will not thrive if Obama is reelected.

Who is we? Is it Reverend Wright, Bill Ayers, SEIU, Odinga, Van Jones, Louis Farrakhan, George Soros and all his “groups”, Jeff Immelt, moveon.org, media matters, the daily Kos, New York Times, and the Washington Post? Is it the students at Tucson and young people elsewhere? Does it exclude Capitalists, Conservatives, and the “rich”?

Thriving has not happened. Prosperity has not happened.

Hope and change has not brought prosperity.

Fairly we share; together we prosper, won’t either.

Together We Thrive; another slick slogan. Don’t be fooled; even if you get a free T shirt!

Certified Emission Reduction

Reagan3267328823_8a76034834_z

The Kyoto protocol passed in 1997 and took force in 2005. 184 countries committed to it; the United States didn’t ratify it.
The United Nations set up a system. Certified Emission Reduction credits were created. They are similar to a stock certificate, which can be bought and sold. Currently they sell for about $17. A refrigerant manufacturer in India reduces carbon emissions. A CER is created for each ton of carbon emissions it reduces. The same type of thing happens in China and other countries. A project is called a Clean Development Mechanism.
An electrical company in Scotland has purchased CER’s. I don’t know how many they purchased, but the cost will end up on their customer’s bills.
The UN estimates that as many as 2.9 Billion CERs will be created by 2012.
The foregoing is highly simplified. Go to this web page for more details.
The United States Congress voted against the Kyoto Protocol.
Obama likes the Kyoto Protocol.
So, after five years, has the Kyoto Protocol been effective? Has the melting of ice caps and rising of the ocean slowed?
Is Obama correct? Should we shiver in the winter, sweat in the summer, and pay high prices for everything? Will we suffer alone, or will Obama suffer with us?
Should we harm the coal mining industry, and eliminate their jobs?
There’s a railroad that operates out of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I believe it’s the Bessemer and Lake Erie. It has been in operation for years. It hauls coal exclusively. Should the Bessemer and Lake Erie railroad be destroyed?
How do you vote?
Are you going to allow this to be shoved down your throat?

Carbon Emissions Reduction

$99

It’s time to examine carbon emissions reduction. Obama Jr. has been involved with carbon emissions reduction for years. Al Gore has also been involved. Obama Jr.’s buddy Soros is involved. The United Nations is involved, and the extent of their involvement is not common knowledge. The extent of Obama Jr.’s involvement is not common knowledge.
China and India are involved, and much of Europe is involved.
Why am I writing this? You are involved.
Your way of life is going to change as a result of carbon emissions reduction.
If the UN, Obama, Gore, and Democrats in the United States get their way, coal, natural gas, and carbon emitters will be taxed. The result will be higher electricity prices and higher food prices. There will be higher prices across the board.
Obama made an “in your face” statement. He said, “The cost of electricity will skyrocket”. His attitude seems to be hooray for me, and you are meaningless; it’s going to be my way, regardless of any hardship on you.
I’m dealing in generalities now, but specifics will come later.
Currently the Environmental Protection Agency is regulating emissions. They have taken over regulation of emissions in the State of Texas. Texas refused to implement EPA regulations. Fred Upton, a congressman, is investigating the EPA.  The Supreme Court has ruled that the EPA can regulate greenhouse gases. January 5, 2010, Obama appointed Nat Keohane, an ardent supporter of cap and trade, to the National Economic Council.

I’m planning on getting into the dollar amount of  the United Nation’s involvement in carbon emissions. I’m planning on getting into how long Obama has been involved with carbon credits; it’s a long time. I’m going to get into carbon credits being traded right now, and what they’re worth.
Are you willing to sacrifice for the benefit of the United Nations, Democrats, and Obama?
